About me

Hey, I'm Ramin. I'm an Azerbaijan citizen. I was born in Baku-The capital of Azerbaijan. I live in Baku. I'm 15 and i'm in the 10th form. My favorite subjects are Geography, History, English. I can speak in English, Azeri, Turkish and in Russian languages. I have been in Holland and in France from Europe countries. I spent really great time there. But unfortunately I haven't been to America. I hope I'll get a chance to travel to USA with this project.
I can make new friendships easily. I have a lot of friends here. I also got a lot of friends in my Europe travels. I like to read religious books. My favorite countries are Italy, Holland, Brazil, USA, Canada, Australian, New Zealand. I'm interested in business. To become a businessmen and to be useful to my country are my great wishes.
In my free times i listen to music. I always listen to Azerbaijan Folk and Classic Music, rock and rap. I go in for sports. I'm going in for taibox.

Explore your relationship with media in five sentences by telling us about a favorite media experience you are having – a book you are reading, a video game you are playing, a movie you just saw, a magazine you subscribe to, a newspaper you read regularly, or a musician or band whose music you really like. What is it about this media experience that makes it powerful for you?

I like to read interesting information and get new songs and extraordinary wallpapers so i always access to azeri portals. I write comments about the news and thank to the auther. I can keep touch easily with my realtives and friends who live in abroad via internet. as every young boy i also interested in sport and i get every latest news by using the media.I also soend time by reading literature. Reading books is my favorite occupation. I also like to watch movies. “Bext Uzuyu”, “Uzaq Sahillerde”, “Arshin Malalan”, “Cin Mikrorayonda” are my favorite national movies. I love to play video games. “GTA” , “Need For Speed Undercover”, “PES 2009”, “Fifa 2009” are my favorite games.

In five sentences, tell us about an issue you are concerned about in your home community. Why? What, if anything, have you tried to do about something you are concerned about, or what would you like to do if you could?

Compare to foreign countries in azerbaijan the cost of internet is high and the speed is low. Because of the high cost some families can’t afford themselves to connect the ADSL. Not all schools in Azerbaijan are supplied with internet connection. Those who have it, the internet speed is low. I hope that in short time this kind of problems will be solved in my country.

In five sentences, tell us what you can contribute to the group of participants during our DOTCOM program (face-to-face) workshops?

Azerbaijan culture is a rich treasure. I want to introduce this ancient history and rich culture to every one. I think that this project is a great chance to me to realize this aim. I’m sure that getting familiar with our culture will be interesting to participants. I also will show them our hospitality when they come to Baku. I will also try to teach them some of Azeri words. I’m sure that we will learn and have fun at the same time during this program.
