My Media Inventory

1)Good books can make a world of difference in our life. I think that without books life would be very meaningless. During all our life books are with us. When I was a child my parents read me tales and stories. I like to read books about nature and animals. I like to give and to get gifts. When someone makes me present books I feel myself happier. If I have free time I like to spend it with my favorite books. We can learn many interesting things from books. Books help us in self-education. Books must be our friends during all our life.

2) I’m very curious person. I always want to know the latest news happens all over the world. Newspaper is the best way to follow the news. It is a mirror through which we see the world. As I’m a football fan I always read football news. When I get bored I solve the crosswords and I don’t even understand that how the time was passed. Magazines are the integral part of my life. I have all numbers of Ok!, Dream and All Stars magazines. I like to read the interviews of celebs. Because I think interviews help us to know more about our favorite stars.

3) Music has always been a part of every culture. It has become a part of people, and who they are. I think that we don’t have to categorize the music that we listen to. Music isn’t something that we listen anymore, it’s who we are. I think that music is very important thing in our life, because we can be much more relaxed when we are listening to music. After a school day I come home and turn on the music player and listen to music. When I do that I forget all my problems. And I think that music will be existing for the last day of human kind.

4) Playing video games is my favorite occupation. When I play video games I feel myself like a hero of this game. GTA, Quake Arena, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Pes 2009, Madagascar 2 are my favorite video games.

5) Computer plays very important role in my life. I start my day with computer and end my day with computer. I play games, listen to music, do my homework and etc. The advantages of computer are endless for me. I can’t imagine my life without computers. It’s very important invention for us. Computer makes everything faster and easier. To me, it is like having a very knowledgeable friend to go to when I need some information or need to have some relax time.

6) There is no doubt that internet changed our life in a positive way. Now we can learn whatever we want with just one click. I contact with my friends from abroad, find and read different articles, watch videos, download my favorite mp3s and wallpapers for my desktop. I make a lot of friendships via internet.

About me

Hey, I'm Ramin. I'm an Azerbaijan citizen. I was born in Baku-The capital of Azerbaijan. I live in Baku. I'm 15 and i'm in the 10th form. My favorite subjects are Geography, History, English. I can speak in English, Azeri, Turkish and in Russian languages. I have been in Holland and in France from Europe countries. I spent really great time there. But unfortunately I haven't been to America. I hope I'll get a chance to travel to USA with this project.
I can make new friendships easily. I have a lot of friends here. I also got a lot of friends in my Europe travels. I like to read religious books. My favorite countries are Italy, Holland, Brazil, USA, Canada, Australian, New Zealand. I'm interested in business. To become a businessmen and to be useful to my country are my great wishes.
In my free times i listen to music. I always listen to Azerbaijan Folk and Classic Music, rock and rap. I go in for sports. I'm going in for taibox.

Explore your relationship with media in five sentences by telling us about a favorite media experience you are having – a book you are reading, a video game you are playing, a movie you just saw, a magazine you subscribe to, a newspaper you read regularly, or a musician or band whose music you really like. What is it about this media experience that makes it powerful for you?

I like to read interesting information and get new songs and extraordinary wallpapers so i always access to azeri portals. I write comments about the news and thank to the auther. I can keep touch easily with my realtives and friends who live in abroad via internet. as every young boy i also interested in sport and i get every latest news by using the media.I also soend time by reading literature. Reading books is my favorite occupation. I also like to watch movies. “Bext Uzuyu”, “Uzaq Sahillerde”, “Arshin Malalan”, “Cin Mikrorayonda” are my favorite national movies. I love to play video games. “GTA” , “Need For Speed Undercover”, “PES 2009”, “Fifa 2009” are my favorite games.

In five sentences, tell us about an issue you are concerned about in your home community. Why? What, if anything, have you tried to do about something you are concerned about, or what would you like to do if you could?

Compare to foreign countries in azerbaijan the cost of internet is high and the speed is low. Because of the high cost some families can’t afford themselves to connect the ADSL. Not all schools in Azerbaijan are supplied with internet connection. Those who have it, the internet speed is low. I hope that in short time this kind of problems will be solved in my country.

In five sentences, tell us what you can contribute to the group of participants during our DOTCOM program (face-to-face) workshops?

Azerbaijan culture is a rich treasure. I want to introduce this ancient history and rich culture to every one. I think that this project is a great chance to me to realize this aim. I’m sure that getting familiar with our culture will be interesting to participants. I also will show them our hospitality when they come to Baku. I will also try to teach them some of Azeri words. I’m sure that we will learn and have fun at the same time during this program.
